On Sunday our President, Captain & Lady Captain held their traditional Drive In that heralds the start of their year in office. There was nervous anticipation on the tee as firstly the President stepped up to tee off from the white marker. Boom. Arrow straight to the middle of the fairway. The Lady Captain stepped up and guided her drive with finesse and power to the middle of the fairway. The Captain stepped up......and a new internet star was born.......twice!
The field of 60 enjoyed a good morning with the weather staying relatively dry. The Captain's Team finished first with 260 pts, ahead of the Lady Captain's Team with 256 pts and the President's team finished 3rd or last depending how you look at it with 243 pts. Pairs winners on the day were Luke Aikenhead & Paul Saunders with 46 pts, Mark Simister & Wayne Harris with 45 pts and Dave Cross & Simon Edmondson with 43 pts.
